Lyrics:

(Three, two, one)
It is time for the parting
Let the birds sing a threnody
Now the first warmth of summer
Is a ghost of a memory
With the robins departing
While we drink to our amity
Lay the year in the graveyard of the century

We'll be lighting a pyre
For the sweet summer Saturdays
Say goodbye as the briars
Descend to decay
With the moon rising higher
All the flowers of yesterday
Turn to ashes that spiral away

Soaked in the sunset
With the world painted scarlet
All the birds know
The summer is sinking
Dusk dark as velvet
In the star spangled violet
Is a spark, a match is struck
And in a blinking
See the fireworks sparkling
An estival marking
The daylight is starting
To burn at both ends
With a sharing of a sigh
Now let us drink the bottle dry
until the midnight chill descends

As the past dies in fire
And the future comes quietly
Let the hill and the mire
Wear the colours of royalty
And for each failed endeavour
And for each broken reverie
Put the wood to the lighter
And we'll set them free

We'll be lighting a pyre
For the sweet summer Saturdays
Say goodbye as the briars
Descend to decay
With the moon rising higher
All the flowers of yesterday
Turn to ashes that spiral away

あの記憶の中　その優しい気分が
今年の秋　突然に戻ってきた
蜂が眠ってきて　駒鳥が帰宅して
窓辺で紅葉が落ちて

A-a-a-a-ah
A-a-a-a-ah
A-a-ah
A-a-a-a-a-ah
A-a-a-ah

We'll be lighting a pyre
For the sweet summer Saturdays
say goodbye as the briars
descend to decay
With the forest on fire
All the flowers of yesterday
Turn to ashes that spiral away

It is time for the parting
Let the birds sing a threnody
Now the first warmth of summer
Is a ghost of a memory
With the robins departing
While we drink to our amity
Lay the year in the graveyard with me
