hmm I don't know how much that is a deliberate quote versus a Tobyism of the time
Cause I've heard section before but Toby does a similar arrangement thing in a couple of his Homestuck songs around this period

though I agree it might be a coincidence
the funniest way to put this is that penumbra is not a motif and it's a doctor/versus remix

idk maybe im wrong but they really feel too similar to be unintentional

i dont see how this is doctor at all

My issue with it being penumbra is that it's a very small snippet of the larger phrase which isn't typical for Toby

like Toby Fox in this era makes his references super duper obvious. This feels circumstantial at best imo
